    Marisa LoBianco

    Marisa (she/her/hers) is focused on providing students with access to and preparation for experiential and employment opportunities. Dedicated to balancing student interests with employer needs, she aims to ensure that graduates gain a competitive edge in the job market. With more than 15 years of career counseling experience throughout New York City, she believes in a holistic approach to the career development process, with an emphasis on mindfulness. Marisa holds a BA in Psychology from Manhattanville College and an MS in School Counseling from Brooklyn College, is a Certified Professional Résumé Writer, and teaches in the graduate School of Professional Counseling and Leadership at Brooklyn College.

    Jennifer MacDonald

    Jennifer (she/her/hers) has more than a decade of experience working with graduate students and has a deep understanding of their development needs. Before joining The New School, Jennifer managed the STEM Diversity Institute at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Jennifer is an active member of the Graduate Career Consortium and has studied in France, in Canada, and at Brandeis University in Boston, where she undertook her doctorate in comparative European history.

    Hope (she/her/hers) has more than a decade of experience helping graduate students and alumni across New School graduate programs. Connecting with students individually and in workshops, she addresses topics ranging from job search strategy and career assessment to interviewing, salary negotiation, personal branding, and LinkedIn. Before becoming a career counselor, Hope worked briefly in television news, PR, law, and secondary education. Hope has lived and worked in Tokyo, New York, and Washington, DC. She holds a master's degree in group work from Hunter College School of Social Work, a master’s degree in East Asian languages and literature from Columbia University, and an undergraduate degree in comparative Japanese literature from Brown University.

    Heather Golden, Events and Industry Engagement Manager

    Heather Golden (she/her/hers) is an experienced educator, facilitator, and user-researcher who applies strategic design approaches in her work in career services. Heather has a background in both education and design and works extensively with undergraduate Parsons students and employers. She loves combining her passions to create powerful experiences for students and employers. Heather has a doctorate and a master's in higher education and holds a BFA from FIT. She has presented at the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), American College Personnel Association (ACPA), and Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD) on issues in higher education, with a focus on LGBTQ student populations. She is a certified Designing Your Life Coach and has served in leadership roles at arts and design schools across the country. Heather has implemented Designing Your Life and NACE Career Competencies in co-curricular workshops.
