Events on Campus

If you are an individual guest lecturer, class speaker, or meeting attendee, please check in at the University Welcome Center at 72 Fifth Avenue, present proof of vaccination and booster, receive a clearance pass, and then proceed to the location of your meeting or class.

If you are a non-New School individual who is attending a public program or event, proceed directly to the location of the event you are attending. The event organizing department will have staff there to check your vaccination status and ID. Be sure to register for the event you want to attend through the university’s event calendar and registration system which can be found at events.newschool.edu.

If you are a prospective student or parent or family member of a prospective student visiting the university and its campus or attending an admissions event, please go to the Welcome Center at 72 Fifth Avenue, present proof of vaccination and booster, receive a clearance pass, and check in with the Admission team. If you are an alumni planning to visit campus, please go to the Welcome Center at 72 Fifth Avenue, present proof of vaccination and booster, receive a clearance pass, and then proceed to your destination.  

If you are an external vendor, such as a videographer, photographer, ASL interpreter, or other external support staff, please go to the Welcome Center at 72 Fifth Avenue, present proof of vaccination and booster, receive a clearance pass, and then proceed to the location of your job. 

All guest passes can be reused through the end of the semester. 

Welcome Center guest check-in hours: Mon-Thurs 7:30am-9pm; Fri 7:30am-6pm; Sat 8am-5pm.
