  • Fall 2021

    Residence Halls

We expect that residence halls will be available to anyone who would like to reside on campus. At this time, we anticipate operating at or near capacity. More information will be provided in our July 15 update. Please continue to visit the Housing page for the latest information.

Safety protocols will remain in place. We will continue to follow federal and local regulations regarding distancing in campus buildings and residence halls and are working on additional, necessary logistical adjustments. Mandatory face coverings, health monitoring, and virus testing are among the precautions that will continue to be in effect on campus.

    Dining Services

We intend to operate dining services as close to normal as possible, including both in-person and grab-and-go options. More information will be available in our July 15 campus update on campus operations.

    Spring and Summer 2021

Residence halls are available on a limited basis. Capacity is significantly reduced to meet required social distancing guidelines and include, for example, transforming double and triple rooms into singles. Visitors are not permitted in the residence halls. Students planning to live on campus can learn more about on-campus housing options, rates, and important deadlines on the Housing website

Students living in on-campus housing may review our safety guidelines and expectations, including quarantine requirements, in our Spring 2021 Contract Details and Safety Protocols. Non-New School students living on our campus this summer are required to follow the university's health and safety protocols for COVID-19 screening and testing.

All students who will be living in a residence hall must submit documentation of negative COVID-19 tests to Student Health Services (SHS) and remain in quarantine until they receive written clearance. Students who plan to quarantine off-campus must submit their proof of quarantine to the Housing and Residential Education office prior to their move-in date.

Review the Screening and Testing page for information about ongoing testing requirements for residential students.

Please note: Non-New School students living on campus this summer are required to follow the university's COVID-19 testing and screening protocols.
