Recent Updates: The New School plans to re-open its New York City campus for in-person teaching and learning in fall 2021. Learn more.

  • Living on campus is an integral part of any college experience and an important component of academic success. Community living provides valuable opportunities to meet new friends, make connections, and encounter new challenges in a safe and supportive environment.

Our mission is to enhance your learning experience by providing residential communities that support your academic and personal growth. As you learn to live more independently, you will discover and appreciate differences that allow you to develop and grow through the shared experiences of on-campus living. We also provide ease and comfort to students making the transition to New York City by securing high-quality housing accommodations that are conveniently located near our campus academic facilities.

Students who apply by the priority deadline (April 1 for continuing students and May 14 for new students) will be guaranteed a housing assignment for the 2021-2022 academic year. Visit the Apply for Housing page to learn more and start your application.
