The New School recognizes Local 7902 Academics Come Together/ACT-UAW for all part-time faculty employed by the university, with the exception of part-time faculty teaching at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.
All employees who either belong in this union or supervise such employees must thoroughly review the contract between the university and Local 7902.
For more information regarding the COVID-19 Recovery Plan agreed to by the university and Local 7902, please see here. The COVID-19 Recovery Plan will be in effect through Academic Year 2020-2021, and may be extended through Academic Year 2021-2022, as outlined in the Plan.
