    Internships and civic engagement are invaluable components of the Liberal Arts program at Lang. Student interns receive professional guidance, gain hands-on experience, develop confidence, and establish an expansive network of professional contacts. Internships for academic credit are available in almost every field and have included companies such as the New York Times,  Manolo Blahnik, MoMA PS1, and eBay.

    CESJ runs several programs for students, faculty and staff designed to build and sustain a social justice community at Lang. Ranging from our intensive, four year Gural Scholars program to a summer fellowship, our workshops and programs offer a variety of ways to get involved.

    Gural Scholars

    Gural Scholars

    The Gural Scholars Program, housed in Lang’s Office of Civic Engagement and Social Justice, provides need-based scholarships each year from Orientation to graduation for up to 48 students. Scholars enroll in a year-long two-credit seminar focused on social justice theory and practice as part of this program.
