      Application Deadlines

      Fall

      PhD Applicants and Readmits (fall only): December 15

      MA, MS, and Advanced Certificate Applicants and Readmits: 

      • Full Fellowship Deadline: January 7 
      • Final International Student Deadline: June 1
      • Final Deadline: August 1

      Spring

      MA, MS, and Advanced Certificate Applicants and Readmits:

      • Priority Deadline: November 1
      • Final Deadline: January 4

      FAFSA (U.S. Citizens and Eligible Non-citizens)
      Fall Applicants: February 1
      Spring Applicants: November 1

      To be most competitive for admission and merit scholarship consideration, please apply by the application deadline. We will continue to review applications submitted after the deadline if space is available in the program. The Admission Committee will make a decision on your application only after all the required materials have been received.       Prior Degree Completion

      Graduate degree applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university or the equivalent degree from a foreign college or university. Applicants who will have completed their bachelor's degree by the time of enrollment may apply for admission. PhD applicants in Economics, Philosophy, Politics, and Sociology must hold a master’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university or the equivalent degree from a foreign college or university.

      Applicant Profile

      Our programs welcome applicants with a wide variety of experiences, including recent college graduates, graduate students, working professionals, and career changers. We engage in a holistic review of each application.

      GRE and GMAT test scores are not required for any of our graduate or doctoral programs.

Undergraduates

To apply to any of our undergraduate programs (except the Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Students and Parsons Associate of Applied Science programs) complete and submit the Common App online.

Undergraduate Adult Learners

To apply to any of our Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Students and Parsons Associate of Applied Science programs, complete and submit the New School Online Application.

Graduates

To apply to any of our Master's, Doctoral, Professional Studies Diploma, and Graduate Certificate programs, complete and submit the New School Online Application.
