The Schwartz Center for Economic Policy Analysis (SCEPA) is an economic policy think tank located in the Department of Economics at The New School for Social Research.

SCEPA works with New School economists and external partners to provide research and policy insights to help policymakers, the media, and the public understand how our economy affects people and advance opportunities that allow workers and families to prosper. With a focus on collaboration and outreach, we seek to reform systems including retirement and healthcare, workers’ rights and bargaining power, public infrastructure investments, and renewable energy, among others.

SCEPA awards up to three three-year fellowships to outstanding scholars who want to pursue their PhD in Economics focusing on issues of older workers in the labor force and retirement. Learn more about the fellowship here.
