  • Merit Scholarships

    All admitted students are considered for merit scholarship awards determined by the strength of their applications. International students are eligible only for merit scholarships.

    Federal Student Aid

    If you are a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, we encourage you to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which can be found at The FAFSA is available each year on October 1. The New School’s federal school code is 002780. You do not need to wait for an admission decision to apply for federal aid. Submit your FAFSA by our FAFSA Priority Deadlines in the section below.

  • Application Deadlines

    Fall Early Action Application Deadline: November 1
    Fall Regular Priority Application Deadline: January 15
    Fall Transfer Priority Application Deadline: April 1

    Parsons Paris accepts applications on a rolling basis into late May, pending available spaces. However, we highly encourage applying by the January priority deadline.

  • To apply, complete the Common App online application. After starting an application for The New School, select “Parsons Paris” in the Academics section. Then, select your preferred degree and major. Parsons Paris needs to be clearly identified in your choice. All required fields and uploads must be completed before you submit your application. Parsons Paris offers two degree options: BFA and BBA. Application requirements and information for both degrees can be found below.

    You must complete all required fields and uploads prior to submission.

    Additional Documents

    Any additional supporting documents that need to be sent by mail must include an Application Materials Cover Sheet. These documents must be received before your application can be reviewed.

    Application Fees

    Application fees are $50 for U.S. domestic applicants, and $75 for first-year international applicants. Application fees are paid through the online application and are non-refundable. The New School waives application fees for those who meet the eligibility guidelines listed in the Application Fee Waivers section of our How to Apply information.

  • After you have completed all the requirements listed above, made arrangements for your transcripts to be sent to The New School, and contacted your recommenders, your application is ready to submit. If you need any help or have any questions, please feel free to contact the Office of Admission.

  • Applications become complete and ready for review once all required items have been received by the Office of Admission. You can check your application status on the Application Status Page.

    Allow at least 14 days from the date you submitted your application for items to be matched and shown as received. Applicants are responsible for following up with schools and recommenders to confirm that transcripts and recommendations have been sent.

    The Office of Admission will periodically notify applicants by email if their file is missing any documents and again when their file is complete for review. These notifications are sent to the email address provided in the online application.
