• Photography (Minor)

  • Overview

The Photography minor is offered through Parsons School of Design.

In this minor, students are introduced to a broad range of photographic processes, technologies, and conceptual practices while working within the rich intersections between photography, film, video, design, visual art, and sound. After acquiring analog and digital core skills, students are encouraged to pursue a specific concentration, gaining deeper knowledge in specific areas of interest (including social engagement, fashion culture, creative industry, and contemporary art).

The Photography minor requires successful completion of 18 credits across six subject areas, as outlined in the chart below.

Course availability may vary from semester to semester. Some courses may be in development and offered at a later time. Students seeking to pursue alternative coursework to fulfill the minor should consult with their advisors.
